Prime Office Space in Glasgow on Offer

Posted on Friday 26 February 2010

There is good news for businesses looking for office space in Glasgow. An entire floor of prime Glasgow office space at the Capella development has been opened up. According to the reports of property agent Cushman & Wakefield, the floor is constituted of over 11,000 sq ft of space with huge floor plates.

However, another 116,978 sq ft of office space is under construction and is scheduled to be completed within G1 development project on Hope Street.

Presently Cushman & Wakefield are trying to draw the attention of tenants and encourage them to make their choices before the availability of prime office space starts declining. It is noteworthy that once this development is completed, there won’t be more Grade A offices being completed in next two years. Hence, this is the golden opportunity for tenants who want office space at a good price of £26 per sq ft.

According to the recent report by C&W, 2010 is a period of market stabilization for office space market but this still does not mean growth. However, the bad phase of the Glasgow and Edinburg markets seem to be over and despite low growth, the areas have shown significant activity in last few quarters. Consultant FG Burnett that reported the activity also pointed out that there is more optimism in the market. The trend clearly points towards recovery of the office space market in the region.
