Walk the Walk: Spite Women’s Hair Loss with Synthetic Wigs

Posted on Tuesday 30 June 2009

The majority of us couldn’t believe the beautiful and confident Belinda Utsinger, our family friend, could cover her head with wigs. Her signature long black hair flowed in sync with her attitude. Have you seen her lately? Miss Prim n’ Proper will always be known because of her hair. Only a handful of souls can tell she relies on synthetic wigs. Keep it on the DL.

As mere children in high school, we always knocked ‘em dead. Five years later, her hair loss started acting up and she went bald. I hinted about some synthetic wigs. Whatever, balding was no big deal to her. She aggressively unveiled her attitude.

Attending our alma mater’s rugby game, we heckled until a numbskull accidentally threw the sphere (or whichever thing that is) towards the fans. My bff reached out for the thing and her cute little hat fell off, uncovering her bald head. Undisturbed, she tossed the ball back to the field. What’d I tell ya about her spunk?

Of course, who can be invincible at all times? Months later at our semi-monhtly mid-day lemonade chat, where she laughed nervously and informed me that she prefers to make do with a shorn head out of anger. She dare not spend money on medical wigs, despite the fact that she would wear them. At that moment she stopped talking and requested that I shutup, it was silly. I thought “oh, well.”

There was no way to get her words out of my head. The next morning, I called about getting her a new wig. Finally the two of us came to an agreement: lace front wigs for all! Wigs for the both of us, on me!

The both of us were bewildered by how natural they looked. I never imagined that lace front wigs were so prevalent for people, even superstars. These wigs complimented her natural beauty. As for me, I coordinated a comprehensively contemporary wardrobe around our wigs. We do it all together, if you haven’t heard. The other day she gave me a photo of us in our wigs and thanked me for her dignified synthetic wig, and said it invites a fresh spirit for many occasions. It’s touching to watch little miss attitude rediscover the sassy, feminine girl I remember. I’m right there with her.
