It is more the wedding recpetion ideas, the gifts and the dress that brides get excited about. Of course everyone loves staring into the eyes of their loved one and professing their love for them, but this doesn’t inevitably have to be in the context of an official wedding service. People think of marriage as a huge step, an close of something in a way, though it is of course the start of a new journey too. The fear is that the whole shape of marriage and divorce is a tortuous and expensive one and therefore shouldn’t be tackled lightly. You have to be serious about marriage in order to have one, and this puts many people off. There is likewise an anxiety of change for some people, who believe that marriage will put an unnecessary strain on the relationship. Others just don’t trust in it, and what it signifies, choosing to just live in with their partner instead.
